Tickets are on sale now for the world’s largest festival of public science talks.
Taking place at pubs across the city, 33 University of Liverpool academics will explore topics ranging from dinosaurs to drugs.
On from 19-21 May 2025, the three-day festival takes place simultaneously across the world with hundreds of cities participating. Each night will provide a unique line up of talks, demonstrations and live experiments held in a relaxed and informal environment.
Events will take place at venues including The Bridewell, The Ship & Mitre and District House. Tickets are available from the Pint of Science website (pintofscience.co.uk), costing just £5 each. Attendees in Liverpool will enjoy a variety of exciting talks including:

Laura Winters, Public Engagement Officer, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, University of Liverpool said: “This will be Liverpool’s 8th Pint of Science festival, and we’re delighted to be part of this international event. Not only are we having fun and inviting people to learn something new, we are also shining a spotlight on the incredible research happening right here in Liverpool. Pint of Science gives researchers the opportunity to share their stories, and audiences an opportunity to ask questions about science to those directly behind it.”
Alongside the main talks, audience members will be able to take part in the largest ever multi-city pub quiz – in association with interactive quiz company, KwizzBit. Teams will tackle science-themed trivia and go head-to-head with other cities interactively, in the hope of claiming the top spot in their city and across the UK.
